From January 26 to 30, 2026, the National University of Ostroh Academy hosted ML Week, a practical educational hackathon dedicated to machine learning and applied projects. The event was held at the National University of Ostroh Academy in partnership with leading technical universities in Ukraine.

Ostroh Academy Enters the Prestigious QS Europe University Ranking 2026
According to the QS Europe University Rankings 2026, the National University of Ostroh Academy has made its debut in the prestigious European university rankings, placing in the 701–900 band among higher education institutions in Europe. The university was also included in the QS Europe University Rankings – Eastern Europe 2026, ranking among the top 100 universities in Eastern Europe.

On January 19, a free certificate programme entitled "Modelling and Analysis of Information Warfare Processes as a Tool for Protecting Democracy in the EU and for Countering Threats" was launched at the National University of Ostroh Academy.

National University of Ostroh Academy Wins Fundamental Research Grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine
The National University of Ostroh Academy has been awarded a research project grant by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This grant falls under the "Humanities and Arts" category. It is titled "Performative Practices of Reading Ukrainian Children's and Young Adult Literature: Formation of Critical Thinking and Emotional Resilience." The project will launch in 2026 and will be funded from the State Budget of Ukraine. In total, 11 works were selected from 61 submissions in the relevant field, attesting to the high scientific level of the grant proposal.

Renowned International Human Rights Systems Researcher Prof. Teresa Astramowicz-Leyk Teaches at Ostroh Academy
Renowned Polish researcher, professor, and Doctor of Science (Politics) Teresa Astramowicz-Leyk, Full Professor and Head of Doctoral Studies at the Institute of Political Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, has been teaching a course on "International Systems for the Protection of Human Rights" to Master's students majoring in "International Relations" since 2022.
