Shirin Ebadi's Lecture at the National University of Ostroh Academy: "The Importance of Protecting Human Rights in the Modern World"
On September 10, 2025, an open lecture by Shirin Ebadi — an Iranian lawyer, human rights activist, and recipient of the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize — took place at the National University of Ostroh Academy. The event became part of the Fifth Anniversary Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. For the fifth consecutive year, the Summit has served as an international humanitarian platform, bringing together thought leaders, cultural figures, educators, and policymakers to address global challenges jointly.

Ostroh Academy is the First Classical University in Ukraine to Receive a Seven-Year International Accreditation from HAKA
The National University of Ostroh Academy has received unique international recognition: the Estonian Quality Agency for Education (HAKA) has granted the university accreditation for 7 years. This decision confirms that the academy's strategic development, educational, and research activities comply with European quality standards, making it the first Ukrainian university to successfully undergo institutional accreditation within the framework of an international pilot project.
