According to the QS Europe University Rankings 2026, the National University of Ostroh Academy has made its debut in the prestigious European university rankings, placing in the 701–900 band among higher education institutions in Europe. The university was also included in the QS Europe University Rankings – Eastern Europe 2026, ranking among the top 100 universities in Eastern Europe.
QS World University Rankings: Europe is a regional ranking of European universities published by the British ranking agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), one of the most authoritative organisations worldwide in evaluating the quality of higher education.
The ranking includes universities from more than 40 European countries. It provides a comprehensive evaluation of higher education institutions based on several key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, scientific influence and research, international engagement, institutional development, and sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Among the 58 Ukrainian higher education institutions represented in the ranking, Ostroh Academy placed 16th, which is an important achievement and demonstrates the growing international competitiveness of the university within the European educational space.
The inclusion of Ostroh Academy in the QS Europe University Rankings 2026 results from systematic efforts to enhance the university's international visibility, improve management processes, develop educational and research activities, and expand international cooperation.
Thus, by entering one of the leading European university rankings and the corresponding regional sub-ranking for the first time, the National University of Ostroh Academy has confirmed its compliance with international standards of higher education quality and strengthened its position among competitive universities in Europe and worldwide.
The achievement in the QS ranking is an important step toward the university's further integration into the European Higher Education Area, creating new opportunities for developing international partnerships, participating in grant projects, and increasing the university's attractiveness to students and researchers worldwide.
