General information about the Department
The Department of Civil Law Disciplines was established after reorganization of the Department of Special Legal Disciplines in 2005 (Order №23 of 08.04.2005) with the aim of studying of those branches of law which regulate property and personal non-property rights of individuals and legal entities guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine. The main purpose of educational activity of the Department is to prepare highly-qualified lawyers.
The most important task of the Department is to improve the studying process and the quality of civil law disciplines teaching, and to supply them with educational and teaching materials.
Scientific activity of the Department
The scientific activity of the Department is carried out in the field of legal regulation of civil law, corporate, land relations, and other important issues of private law.
In general, 5 lecturers work at the Department, 3 of them have academic degrees. The professorial and teaching staff of the Department permanently raise their qualification, systematically take part in international and All-Ukrainian scientific conferences.
The scientific research topic of the Department is ‘The Problems of Realization of Personal Non-Property and Property Rights’ (state registration number: 0110U000891), the supervisor is Ruslan A. Lidovets, PhD (Legal Science), Senior Lecturer, the Head of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines of I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law of the National University of Ostroh Academy.
The purpose of scientific research is to solve the theoretical and practical problems of subjective civil rights realization and protection.

In order to prepare students for the future work in the field of jurisprudence, the student scientific circle ‘The Club of the Protectors of Private Interests’ operates at the Department (the supervisor - Ruslan A. Lidovets, PhD (Legal Science), Senior Lecturer). The scientific interests of the circle are the problems of legal regulation, realization, and protection of civil and family rights.
The forms of the scientific circle are round tables, scientific seminars, scientific consultations, debates on topical issues of civil, family, employment, and other areas of private law.
