General information about the Department

The Department of Economic Theory, Management and Marketing was established in 2003.

The Department offers teaching following subjects: political economy, the history of economic doctrines, economic history, microeconomics, macroeconomics, management, personnel management, marketing, international economics, economic policy, basic foundation of economic theory, and basic foundation of scientific researches.

The Department research topic: "Scientific, methodological and organizational bases of formation of the national economic competitiveness under market conditions" (state registration number 0102U005190).

The tasks of the Department: 

  • teaching normative theoretical disciplines and organizing the educational process at the junior courses of the Faculty of Economics;
  • assisting in in-depth comprehensive study of laws and trends of modern economic development of society, models and mechanisms of its regulation;
  • formation of economic thinking and outlooks of future economists;
  • conducting scientific research on topical issues of socio-economic development of Ukraine and the world;
  • spreading the principles of Christian ethics, patriotism and humanism among students.

 

Research fields of the teaching staff of the Department:

  1. Tetiana I. Galetska. Leasing as a form of capital investing in renovation of fixed assets of agricultural enterprises.
  2. Natalia V. Ivanchuk. Mechanism of enterprise payroll taxation in Ukraine.
  3. Liudmyla V. Kozak.  Formation of product positioning strategies of agricultural enterprises on the domestic and world markets.
  4. Ivan I. Topishko. Improving of property relations. Market transformation of post-socialist countries.
  5. Natalia P. Topishko. Social policy. The system of social protection as a mechanism of ensuring social development. The global transformation of the modern world.

The annual All-Ukrainian SCIENTIFICALLY-PRACTICAL INTERNET-CONFERENSE of young scientists and students “Problems and prospects of the national economy development in the context of globalization” is held at the Department, and the collection of scientific works "Student Scientific notes of the National University of Ostroh Academy, series "Economics" is issued annually.
