The National University of Ostroh Academy has once again reaffirmed its strong position in the global academic arena by being included in the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025.
The British publication Times Higher Education (THE) has released its annual University Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluates universities' contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This ranking considers not only academic excellence but also the social, economic, and environmental impact of higher education institutions.
In 2025, 2,526 universities from over 130 countries participated in the rankings, 563 more than last year. This growing number reflects the increasing global competition and the relevance of sustainable development criteria in higher education.
According to the results, Ostroh Academy improved both its overall score and ranking, having been assessed in 12 out of 17 possible Sustainable Development Goals. The university achieved especially high results in the following categories:
- Quality Education – ranked within the 801–1000 group of the best universities in the world.
- Gender Equality – placed in the 601–800 group.
- Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – ranked in the 401–600 group, which is a particularly significant achievement given the current societal challenges faced by Ukraine.
These results highlight the university’s consistent efforts to integrate the principles of sustainable development into its educational process, scientific research, promotion of academic integrity, gender equality, social responsibility, and civic engagement.
This accomplishment not only reflects international recognition but also testifies to the high quality of education, modern teaching approaches, attention to student initiatives, and the university's deep commitment to social responsibility.
