The 'Mr. Leader' Centre for Education and Care for Preschool-Age Children Opened at Ostroh Academy

On October 9, the National University of Ostroh Academy launched the 'Mr. Leader' Centre for Early Childhood Education and Care. This initiative was spearheaded by the NaUOA President, Prof. Ihor Pasichnyk, with assistance from Member of Parliament Volodymyr Voronov. The opening was supported by the NaUOA Rector Prof. Eduard Balashov, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs Ruslana Kalamazh, and Assoc. Prof. Maksym Karpovets, the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Social and Humanitarian Management.

"For Ostroh Academy, this project represents not only a new stage in the development of educational initiatives but also a confirmation of its leadership position in the field of pedagogical education. Indeed, the university consistently implements a practice-oriented approach in the training of future educators. Students of the 'Primary Education' programme will have the opportunity to work with children aged 5–6, helping them to prepare for school in an engaging and high-quality manner,"

Eduard BALASHOV, the Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy, Doctor of Sciences (Psychology), Full Professor, stated during his welcoming address.

Students from the 'Primary Education' programme and preschool children gathered to embrace the exciting new beginning at the opening of the centre.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for our degree-seeking students to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired in the 'Primary Education' programme. They can showcase their teaching talent while collaboratively creating an innovative educational environment for young Ukrainian children. We sincerely thank everyone who made it possible for such important initiatives to become a reality!"

commented the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education, Cand. Sc. (Pedagogics), Associate Professor Zoia Stoliar.

The Vice-Rector for Education of the National University' Ostroh Academy,' Doctor of Science (Psychology), Full Professor Ruslana Kalamazh, communicates:

"Launching the Centre for Early Childhood Education and Care, 'Mr. Leader' is an important step in the implementation of Ostroh Academy's strategy, which envisages the creation of an educational environment with conditions that closely reflect the specifics of the future professional activities of primary school teachers. The opening of such centres is not merely an expansion of the university's infrastructure, but a manifestation of the values of humanism, partnership, and care that underpin Ostroh Academy's educational philosophy. We aim to create an environment where every child, student, and lecturer feels supported and trusted."
