The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.


The National University of Ostrog Academy cooperates with foreign educational and scientific institutions, scientists, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The National University of Ostroh Academy receive the status of autonomous research national higher educational establishment.


Ostroh Academy University library which provides the resources for research and educational purposes, the access to the electronic catalogue of the library and foreign library networks.

Teaching and research in the National University of Ostroh Academy is organised by Faculties. There are five Faculties and I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law offering sixteen prestigious specialities.

A new textbook by Ostroh Academy lecturer

A new study guide titled Psychology of the National Character Formation (Psycholinguistic Aspect) approved by the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine was published in the National University of Ostroh Academy. According to Liliia Korol, author of the textbook and senior lecturer of the Department of Business Communication, the book's aim is to reveal the specificity of the students' national character formation with regard to the psycholinguistic peculiarities. The guide is to some extend multi-purpose, since it can be used to form the national character in the process of learning foreign languages, to further develop psycholinguistic programmes of foreign language teaching and to elaborate practical recommendations for the learners of foreign languages.

The material in the guide is recommended for application by university lecturers, students and postgraduate students.
