Viennese Ball in Ostroh Academy

On 3 February, the Academic Ball took place in the National University of Ostroh Academy. This university-wide dancing event has taken place for 3 years in a row as part of the celebrations of the week of the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages. The dancing evening requires a mandatory dress code which is an evening dress for ladies and a dress coat or suit for gentlemen.
The supporting music for the evening was provided by the Academic Chamber Orchestra of Rivne Region Philharmonic led by Serhii Khorovets. Traditionally, the ball has its hosts. This year's hosts were Ivan Stechynskyi and Kateryna Kharchuk.
The winners of the 2012 Academic Ball Contest were Iryna Bilyk and Dmytro Stadniichuk, Kateryna Stepanova and Petro Pinchuk ranked second, and Diana Bilokonenko and Yurii Homonovych took the third place.
The participants of Canada World Youth exchange programme performed their own dance routine.
