The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.


The National University of Ostrog Academy cooperates with foreign educational and scientific institutions, scientists, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The National University of Ostroh Academy receive the status of autonomous research national higher educational establishment.


Ostroh Academy University library which provides the resources for research and educational purposes, the access to the electronic catalogue of the library and foreign library networks.

Teaching and research in the National University of Ostroh Academy is organised by Faculties. There are five Faculties and I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law offering sixteen prestigious specialities.

Viktoria Nazaruk Represented Ostroh Academy On All-Ukrainian Competition In the Ukrainian Language and Literature

Viktoria Nazaruk, a fourth-year student of Ostroh Academy National University, took third place in All-Ukrainian Student Competition in the Ukrainian Language and Literature, held in Kherson on 13-18April.

The Competition consists of three rounds and includes writing tasks in the Ukrainian Language and Literature as well as the defence of scientific works. Viktoria Nazaruk presented the work Lessons on Philology: Teaching Aspect and Multimedia Accompaniment.

The participants of the Olympiad had an opportunity to take part in a masterclass given by Maria Pentyliuk, the author of the textbook on the methods in teaching Ukrainian.

In general, 63 representatives form all over Ukraine took part in the Competition.Viktoria Nazaruk was the third after the participants from Kherson and Donetsk. The winners were awarded with diplomas and sets of books containing monolingual dictionaries and dictionaries of loanwords.
