The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.


The National University of Ostrog Academy cooperates with foreign educational and scientific institutions, scientists, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The National University of Ostroh Academy receive the status of autonomous research national higher educational establishment.


Ostroh Academy University library which provides the resources for research and educational purposes, the access to the electronic catalogue of the library and foreign library networks.

Teaching and research in the National University of Ostroh Academy is organised by Faculties. There are five Faculties and I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law offering sixteen prestigious specialities.


Ostroh Academy abounds with the projects which welcome the students willing to actively participate, reveal their creative potential and realize their selves.

International Artistic Plein-air at Ostroh Academy

The international artistic plein-air was held at Ostroh Academy National University together with an exhibition of the participants’ works. It was the sixths plein-air held at OANU and already became traditional for the university. Belarus, Ukraine and Poland participated this year. Belarus was represented by Pavlo Kastusik, Poland represented by Jurek Ratovski and Valasek Andrzey. Ukraine was represented by artists from Rivne: Viktor Hvozdynskyi,  Feofan Bobryk, Tetiana Lukashevych; from Vinnytsia: Kristina Zhilinskayte, Leontiy Hryniuk; from Zhytomyr: Valerii Radetsky, Vasyl Kondratiuk, Nenila Kosnytska and from Ternopil: Petro Shporuk.
During the plein-air artists have been working at pictures depicting places of historical and architectural value of Ostroh, Dubno, Mlyniv, Derman, Mezhyrich, Starokonstiantyniv. The art exhibition is now located at Ostroh Academy Church. 

The organizer of the plein-air was Rivne Artists Union with the support of OANU and Member of Ostroh district council, Mykola Bendiuk.
