The Law School of Ostroh Academy Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Supreme Court

On June 3, representatives of 8 law schools from universities of Ukraine, including I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law, participated in the event "Vision of Interaction between the Supreme Court and Legal Education Institutions", organised by the Supreme Court.
Recognising the need to join forces for the constant improvement of legal education following modern trends in the development of law and the needs of society, promoting the process of European integration and expanding the legal worldview, spreading modern legal knowledge, ensuring the high authority of the judiciary and trust in it, training qualified lawyers, as well as contributing to ensuring the unity of judicial practice, the representatives signed a memorandum of cooperation.
It was signed to strengthen the interaction between the Supreme Court and law schools, support student professional internships, implement a model programme of training in courts, conduct familiarisation visits to the Supreme Court entitled "A Day in Court", run moot courts (court debates), strengthening communication with students, conducting innovative educational events, etc.
"Cooperation between our law school and the Supreme Court is crucial and relevant given improving the quality of legal training, employment opportunities, internships, and practice at the Supreme Court. In addition, we proposed to strengthen the scientific areas of work, holding joint events and participating of our lecturers in the scientific advisory board for analytical legal work,"
Ostroh Law School of the NaUOA delegated Olha Balatska, Director of I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law, Candidate of Science (Law), Associate Professor, Bohdan Shabarovskyi, senior lawyer, attorney, senior lecturer at the Department of State and Legal Disciplines, the "Law Firm "Vasyl Kisil and Partners" Bar Association and Bohdan Mykhalchuk, the Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Activities at the NaUOA, a post-graduate student at the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law.
