The Football Competition “The Cup of Rector” Is Finished

“The Cup of Rector” final was held on October, 19, at the stadium of the National University of Ostroh Academy. Two teams of The Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management and I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law competed for the first place. Team of “malynovtsi” won with the score of 1: 0.

 The winning team captain Valentyn Madrytskyi shared his impressions of the game:

“Our training began not this year, but much earlier. The team has been already formed and it has not changed about two years. I liked this match because the team of the Faculty of PIM played great too. I am quite happy with the game".

 After the game there was the ceremony of the reward of the winner teams: the 1st place received I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law, the 2nd place – The Faculty of Political Studies and Information Management, and the 3rd place – The Faculty of Economics.

 “This year format of “The Cup of Rector” justified all expectations. New format brought new experiences. All teams had good chance of reaching the play-offs of the groups to which they were caught by drawing lots. This season it was really nice to watch the boys from The Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages who are forming a good team with great prospects. The winners – I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law – are real winners! They have a very good harmonious team, so their finals including victory in the competition did not become a sensation for us. The games of The Faculty of PIM are also well played; the team reached the final because the guys played to the end. Their perseverance helped them to win the match against The Faculty of International Relations, and then they won the match in a protracted series of post-match penalties. Talking about the team of The Faculty of Economics, it should be said that the boys showed very good football. Perhaps we lacked luck, and perhaps the team harmony. However, our 3rd place is also not bad. I am sure that each player did his best, that’s why I am grateful for all of them",
