Sports Morning at Ostroh Academy

On 12 September, the Sports Morning action took place at the National University of Ostroh Academy.
Strong body, strong mind, strong spirit! This was proved by the students of Ostroh Academy together with the Rector and OA lecturers who took part in the yearly Sports Morning all-university action dedicated to the Day of physical education and sport.
«This is the fourth year in a row that we organise such an action at Ostroh Academy», said Ruslana Kalamazh, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Education. «From the very first days of its foundation, our university has been promoting healthy lifestyle. It is a sort of our business card. By the way, there are special awards and grants at Ostroh Academy for the students who maintain healthy lifestyle».
The joint morning exercise began with shaping and finished with a run and active gymnastic exercises. The organisers believe that such a sports programme helps to intensify mental activity. The students are convinced that after it the day will definitely be very productive.
Oleksandr Ivaniv, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education, said that the students of Ostroh Academy demonstrate supreme achievements both in studies and sports, which is proved by their active participation in various sports groups and a row of victories both on the local and the national level.
According to Rector Pasichnyk, such a high number of participants indicates that sport is a priority at Ostroh Academy. Student initiative to maintain healthy lifestyle is strongly encouraged and supported by the University administration.
According to the students, they would like to repeat this event every month to prove to everyone that it is stylish to be healthy and sporty.
