The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.


The National University of Ostrog Academy cooperates with foreign educational and scientific institutions, scientists, representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora.

The National University of Ostroh Academy receive the status of autonomous research national higher educational establishment.


Ostroh Academy University library which provides the resources for research and educational purposes, the access to the electronic catalogue of the library and foreign library networks.

Teaching and research in the National University of Ostroh Academy is organised by Faculties. There are five Faculties and I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law offering sixteen prestigious specialities.


Ostroh Academy abounds with the projects which welcome the students willing to actively participate, reveal their creative potential and realize their selves.

The Students of the College of Romance and Germanic Languages Represented Ostroh Academy On All-Ukrainian Level

The second stage of the All-Ukrainian Contest in artistic translation took place in Donetsk National University with the participatiov of the representatives from all regions of Ukraine.

According to the results of the contest, the first and the second places for artistic translation from English into Ukrainian took Iryna Akhtyrska and Tetiana Usyk respectively, the fifth-year students of the College of Romance and Germanic Languages of Ostroh Academy National University. Svitlana Olytska, the third-year student of the same college took the third place for the best artistic translation from German into Ukrainian. The winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes.

“The participation in such contests gives an opportunity to reveal creativity and potential, to get the experience and to broaden the bounds of communication with peers, since the students who took part in the contest came from different regions of our country,” told Svitlana Olytska.
