Hardly Last Victory

Ostroh Academy band Ostannia Hvylyna (Last Minute) won the competition The Golden Track which held live on Radio Track 106.4 FM radio station with the result of 1112 votes.

The first performance of the band was at the charity concert organized by the College of Political Studies and Information Management in 2006. Since that time the band somewhat changed and today it consists of 4 members: Pavlo Horechko (vocals, guitar), Oleksandr Pustovit (bass guitar), Oleksandr Stemkovskyi (guitar), Maksym Kobieliev (drums).

They took part in many concerts and festivals in Netishyn, Ostroh, Rivne. Their friend Oleksandr Mazepa, Ostroh Academy student radio DJ, suggested their taking part in The Golden Track. “Although we believed our ballad The Angels Are Not Only In Heaven would win we think it won thanks to Ostroh Academy students”, said Maksym Kobieliev.

The band released its own album and is engaged in its distribution. They hope that Ostroh Academy students will help them an OA Rector will give his support. “Ihor Demydovych has done a lot for the development of our band, he has made a move of the mechanism of Ostannia Hvylyna, which was at a standstill for a year,” shared his thoughts Pavlo Horechko.
