The National University of Ostroh Academy is the successor of Ostroh Slavic, Greek and Latin Academy, the first higher educational establishment of the Eastern Slavs.

December 23, 2021, IU GreenMetric World University Rankings has published a ranking that has ranked universities around the world since 2010 on six indicators: environment and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, transportation, and education. UI GreenMetric aims to raise universities' awareness of global sustainability goals. This year, 956 universities from 80 countries took part in the publication.

Ostroh Academy hosted a round table of the grant project “WARN. Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats”
A round table was held at the National University of Ostroh Academy on December 20-21 in the framework of the second work package “Creating new curricula and updating and adapting existing curricula” of the WARN grant project “Academic Counteraction to Hybrid Threats”. Among the participants are representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National University of Ostroh Academy, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Ukrainian Catholic University, State University of Infrastructure and Technology, National Academy of Management of Culture and Arts, V. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages, Donbass State Pedagogical University, as well as France (ECAM-EPMI Higher School of Engineering), Estonia (University of Tartu), Finland (University of Jyvaskyla) and Portugal (University of Coimbra).
