Honorary Professor of Ostroh Academy, Tadeusz Kszonstek, Gave Lectures to Students

November 26, 2025

On November 26, the National University of Ostroh Academy hosted a guest lecture by Colonel Tadeusz Kszonstek, professor at the Centre for Eastern Studies at the University of Warsaw and Honorary Professor at Ostroh Academy.

The Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching, Doctor of Philosophy, and the NaUOA Professor, Dmytro Shevchuk, moderated the meeting.

"We are delighted to welcome Tadeusz Kszonstek, Honorary Professor of Ostroh Academy. He did much to promote Polish-Ukrainian unity and cooperation. Mr Tadeusz regularly organises visits to places of remembrance for students from Ukraine and Poland. We also collaborate fruitfully with the Centre for Eastern Studies and implement several projects. The centre's main activity is focused on analysing politics, culture and military strategy in our region. In addition, the Oriental Studies programme announces winter schools every year, for which you can apply and win a scholarship. It will be beneficial and enjoyable for students of Ostroh Academy, who have priority during the selection process."

Dmytro Shevchuk explained.

The lecture was attended by students of the 'Political Science', 'National Security', and 'Global Communication Management' programmes.

European security, shaped by great politicians and military leaders, is not experiencing its best times in our era. One of the most significant problems now is the next step by President Trump, who wants to normalise relations with Russia. It is a big challenge for us and for Ukraine in particular.

noted Tadeusz Kszonstek.

During the meeting, the speaker discussed European security, focusing on the development of state communication strategies in the context of military threats, Poland's cooperation with international partners, the influence of the media on perceptions of defence policy, and related topics.

After the lecture, Tadeusz Kszonstek, together with students from Ostroh Academy and Professor Dmytro Shevchuk, honoured the memory of defenders from the Ostroh community who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war and lit lamps near stands with their photographs on the ‘Walk of Fame.’
