The National University of Ostroh Academy has officially been granted the status of Individual Full Member of the European University Association (EUA). The decision to admit the Academy to the association was made at the EUA Council meeting on October 31, 2025.
The European University Association is one of the leading organizations that brings together more than 900 universities and national rectors' conferences across 48 countries. EUA promotes the development of high-quality education and research in Europe, supports university autonomy, and strengthens their societal impact.
Indeed, the status of Individual Full Member testifies that Ostroh Academy meets high international standards of higher education: research is conducted, different levels of degrees are conferred, and much effort is directed at the development of the academic community.
The President of EUA, Josep M. Garrell, noted that the association is looking forward to active co-operation with the university community of Ostroh Academy, as well as the realization of projects which will promote education and research in Europe.
Membership opens a wide range of opportunities, which include:
- Integration into the European network of universities;
- The exchange of experiences and best practices within higher education;
- Participation in international projects and conferences;
- Enhancing the international prestige of the university, including its positioning in rankings.
This step marks a significant stage in the international development of the National University of Ostroh Academy and demonstrates the institution’s firm commitment to the highest standards of education and scholarly research.
