Open Day at the National University of Ostroh Academy

On May 2, the National University of Ostroh Academy organised an all-academic Open Day in the traditional 'All-Ukrainian Forum of the OA Future Students' format.

More than 700 applicants and their parents from all regions of Ukraine attended the event.

Eduard Balashov, the Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy, Doctor of Science (Psychology) and Full professor, delivered the opening statements:

"Ostroh Academy has set itself an ambitious goal: to train not only specialists but also true leaders of national and global scale who can build our country's future and contribute to society's development. We are one of the few universities in Ukraine that preserves the traditions of an uncorrupted educational process. We invite you to become part of our large academic family. If you feel the desire for knowledge and the desire to change the world, Ostroh Academy is ready to provide you with everything you need to realise these ambitions. Remember that each of you can contribute to establishing a new era of Ukrainian science, culture and society."

Ihor Pasichnyk, President of the NaUOA, Doctor of Science (Psychology), Full professor, addressed the applicants with a motivational speech:

"God always gives everyone a chance, but not everyone uses it. Now, you can get a quality education, self-actualise, succeed, and achieve something in life. So use this chance, and we await you at Ostroh Academy!"

Mariia Matviichuk, the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of the NaUOA, Doctor of Philosophy in Law and Associate Professor, focused on the peculiarities and innovations of the 2025 admission campaign for enrolment in various specialities / educational programmes; state, nominal and personal grants provided by Ostroh Academy.

"You can contact us with any questions related to admission, including the specifics of the national multi-subject test and registration of electronic offices. A counselling centre for applicants will be operating based on Ostroh Academy. We are happy to answer all your questions. Together, we will make Enrollment 2025 a success,"

noted Mariia Matviichuk.

During the event, all the attendees had a chance to ask various questions about the peculiarities of studying and learning foreign languages, semester exchange programmes and other aspects of student life.

Sofiia Loziuk, the Head of the Vocational Guidance Volunteer Corps of the NaUOA, introduced the participants to the structure of the institutes and the faculty and the educational and professional programmes available at each of them.

"The National University of Ostroh Academy has five educational and research institutes and many academic and professional programmes. We are constantly improving, so every year, the university introduces new educational programmes to ensure that students are always in demand in the labour market,"

reported Sofiia Loziuk.

All participants of the Open Day also talked to the directors of the educational and research institutes: the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Management, the Institute of International Relations and National Security, the I. Malynovskyi Institute of Law, the Institute of Linguistics, and the Institute of Information Technology and Business, where they learned more about the educational programmes they were interested in.

During the day, the entrants and their parents had the opportunity to visit the Museum of the NaUOA History to deepen their knowledge about Ostroh Academy and learn about its history, prominent alums, and main stages of development.
