Nataliia Danylenko Scholarship established at Ostroh Academy

January 16, 2012

Ostroh Academy Administration has decided to establish annual Natalia Danylenko Scholarship for female students (postgraduate students) of the University for their success in teaching, scholarly and social activities.

Natalia Danylenko, a representative of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (Somerdale, USA), was a loyal friend and patron of the Academy. Annual contests of student scientific publications under the general title To Respect the Past. To Build the Future were among the most significant events in Ostroh Academy initiated and supported financially by Mrs. Danylenko and her husband, Ivan Danylenko. In addition, Nataliia Danylenko supported Ostroh Academy Institute for Ukrainian Diaspora Studies both financially and by personal participation in scientific forums. For the tremendous personal achievements in the revival of Ukrainian national education, culture and spirituality, and for her contribution to the development of the National University of Ostroh Academy, Natalia Danylenko was elected Honorary Member of Ostroh Academic Brotherhood and was awarded an academic gown and a diploma. Moreover, in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the University she was awarded the Prince Vasyl-Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi medal.

Ostroh Academy students and teaching staff were always glad to meet with Mrs. Danylenko. These meetings have left a deep and unique mark on our souls... Natalia Danylenko will live forever in our hearts.
