Ostroh Academy Marked the 65th Anniversary of UIA and the Day of Ukraine’s Unity

Last week Ostroh Academy witnessed the events dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Ukrainian Insurrectional Army and the Day of Ukraine’s Unity.

OA students, lecturers, Ostroh town dwellers, students of Ostroh secondary schools and gymnasia, Ostroh Military Lyceum cadets and the visitors had an opportunity to attend the exhibition UIA. The Story of the Unconquered organized by the Centre for Liberation Movement Studies (Lviv).

Additionally, the Director of the Centre for Liberation Movement Studies Volodymyr Viatrovych made a presentation of his Centre and told about its main activity, the study of the various aspects of the struggle of Ukrainian insurrectionists for the national and social freedom.

He also presented the book titled UIA. The Story of the Unconquered, the first illustrated book of popularly scientific style about the history of UIA.

Close to the end of the meeting the representatives of the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists Bogdan Odud and former MP Taras Nagulko from Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi region, sang insurrectionist songs with the guests.
