Mykola Zhulynskyi Visited Ostroh Academy

September 01, 2008

Mykola Zhulynskyi, professor and academician, gave a lecture to the 1st year students of Ostroh Academy National University.

Shaping proper world outlook in students is the important mission of every educational establishment. Mr. Zhulynskyi’s lecture was dedicated to formation of the new Ukrainian state, the citizens of which would live on the basis of national interests. He gave special attention to the decrease in role of the cultural sphere and numerous political problems, the inability of Ukrainians to realize the historical fate of our state. “We have to shape the only cultural space where national priorities would be determinant, to consolidate the state from inside. The humanitarian development should be determinant for the Ukrainian state.” – said Mr. Zhulynskyi.
The students were given Mr. Zhulynskyi’s book The Spiritual Thirst Over the Lost Motherland as a keepsake.

“Mykola Zhulynskyi is a great person that really revives Ukraine. To my mind, it is such people who should shape our state. The lecture was very useful for freshmen because all of us are 17, that is why it is very important that real patriots shaped our consciousness and views on Ukraine,” shared her impressions Tetiana Myroniuk, the 1st year student of the College of Law.
