Educational and Professional Program «ENGLISH AND SECOND FOREIGN (GERMAN / FRENCH) LANGUAGES. LITERATURE. TRANSLATION». 035.041 Philology

Branch of knowledge: 03 Humanities

Speciality: 035 Philology (specialization 035.041 German languages and literatures (including translation), the first -English)

Goal of the Educational and Professional Program: the program is aimed at providing knowledge, developing skills and competencies in German philology. It includes communication skills in English and German/French, basic linguistics and literary studies, understanding of the literature and culture of English-speaking countries and aspects of the application of English philology: translation and / or interpretation, teaching English as a foreign language, research skills.

Characteristics of the Educational and Professional Program:

The implementation of the educational program takes place in English, German / French. Additional opportunities for academic mobility of students: according to an agreement with the University of Rennes II (France), the possibility of studying during the semester/s with subsequent transfer of credits.

Variety of internships:

  • language: classroom and extracurricular work (language clubs English-Speaking Club, «Polskie wieczorki», «Panorama», «Loreley») with volunteers who are native speakers of English, French, German, Polish;
  • pedagogical: with an interruption from the study - in institutions of general and secondary specialized education of Ukraine, without the interruption from the study - at a language school "Up and Up" at the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages;
  • translation: with an interruption from the study - translation agencies of Ukraine, translation departments in production, travel agencies; without interruption from studies - in the translation sector of the educational and scientific center LinguaPark at the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Languages.

Accreditation: the Educational and Professional Program is accredited.
