Newly elected Head of Regional Rivne Council was inaugurated in Ostroh Academy

The inauguration of the newly elected Head of Rivne Regional Council Oleksandr Korniichuk, the graduate of the University, took place on March 14 in Ostroh Academy.

The rector Ihor Pasichnyk, while delivering the opening speech, stressed that Oleksandr Korniichuk is the only student and graduate of Ostroh Academy who alongside with the Master’s diploma received the highest reward of the university, a silver medal «Prince Konstiantyn Vasyl Ostrozkyi.»

In memory of the initiation in Alma Mater, Ihor Demydovych presented Oleksandr Korniichuk with the Bible so that he be accompanied with the highest cultural wealth and moral values through the whole of his life.

Roman Vasylyshyn, the protector of the National University of Ostroh Academy, the member of Supervisory Council of the University and the Academician of Ostroh Academic Brotherhood, congratulated Oleksandr Korniichuk.

«Oleksandr Korniichuk is a person whom I respect. I am convinced that he will perform his duties with dignity and for a good cause of the Ukrainian state,»

On behalf of the student’s community, Mr.Korniichuk was congratulated by Mykhailo Onufer, the Head of Student’s Brotherhood of Ostroh Academy.

«I am convinced that being on this position you will manage to represent Ostroh Academy with dignity and professionalism. I wish you happiness, success, well-being and fruitful activity.»

«My parents sent me to Ostroh Academy. Here my genuine adult life started. I realize that now a big responsibility is being rested on me. I will go to great lengths in order not to blur and not to blemish the name of the Academy. The word of Ihor Demydovych is paternal to me,»

It is to be reminded that Oleksandr Korniichuk graduated from the Department of Political Studies and Information Management in 2004, he also received the candidate’s degree in state administration. During student’s years, Oleksandr showed his bright managerial and leader abilities. For three years he was the Head of student’s organisation «Student’s Brotherhood» and worked as a specialist in printing and publication department and in the department of public relations at the National University of Ostroh Academy.
